IT Service Desk Technician

Join our growing IT team at Variantyx as an IT Service Desk Technician to help our company scale in the future so we can continue to provide the top clinical genomic services to our customers.

For our Israel office you will be the main point of contact for all our IT related issues, providing phenomenal end-user IT support for our team. COntributing to our ongoing IT projects such as Okta implementation, hands free deployment of laptops, user account life cycle management, vendor relationship management, laptop procurement, user onboarding, network troubleshooting. You are a self-starter, process enhancer, and want to bring our IT initiatives for Israel to life.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Direct point of contact for employee IT support requests
  • Manages IT help request with in Jira Service Desk Manager
  • Ensures timely completion, follow-up, and documentation of all support requests
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware/software problems on our various endpoints
  • New employee onboarding, including account creation, laptop building and employee IT orientation
  • Improving our IT environment by redeveloping current business processes and procedures
  • Document and maintain IT procedures
  • Supporting Mac and Windows machines hardware and software configurations.
  • Administration of Google Workspace and AzureAD
  • Administration of Mosyle and Microsoft Intune
  • Troubleshooting network issues.
  • Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
  • Ensuring security software is kept up to date.
  • May require occasional work outside of regular business hours.
  • Vendor management.
  • Hardware procurement.
  • Network Troubleshooting.


  • 1-3+ years IT support experience in a Windows/Mac environment
  • 1-3+ years support both Windows and Mac machines.
  • Experienced with Google Workspace
  • The ability to multitask and manage time with limited supervision is a must
  • Strong communication skills via email, speaking, and instant messaging.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Must be available to work within the office at least two days a week.
  • Bonus Qualification:
  • 2 or 4-year degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Scripting and automation background
  • IT Certifications (A+, Network+, Google Certs, Microsoft Certs)
